Dr. Linda Miyashiro
Veterinarian and Practice Owner
Dr. Miyashiro was born in Torrance and spent her early childhood in Gardena. After graduating from high school in Orange County, she attended the University of California at San Diego where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. A visit to her uncle’s veterinary hospital in Hawaii and observing orthopedic surgery there reinforced her aspiration to become a veterinarian. She received her doctorate in veterinary medicine from Ross University after spending two years in the West Indies and a clinical year at Washington State University.
Accepting a position as associate veterinarian in New York, Dr. Miyashiro spent several years there but missed the weather and, most of all, her family in California. Returning to California, she joined general practices in Los Angeles and Orange County where she developed further interest in internal medicine and soft tissue surgery.
Dr. Miyashiro affirms that her clients’ pets are integral members of their family. She enjoys the aspect of her profession that allows her to develop relationships with her clients and their family. Her practice encourages communication, education, and teamwork to achieve optimum care for her patients.
During her spare time, Dr. Miyashiro enjoys running, hiking, and traveling with her husband Don. They love spending time with their three dogs, Pippa, a toothless assertive Teacup Yorkshire Terrier, Marin, a mellow Poodle mix and Simen, a rambunctious Yorkshire Terrier.
